Dumortierite geodes fakes

A new fake mineral is currently circulating on the web and in particular eBay : false dumortierite geodes ! Be careful, it is actually a (natural) quartz geode from Morocco in which clusters of blue plastic needles are stuck. The sets are quite aesthetic and well enough made to fool the novice collector. If you pay attention to these assemblies, the glue is visible. These fake stones are sold by Chinese traders at significant prices : several hundred or even thousands euros sometimes...

If durmortierite associates in blue needles with quartz in nature, it is systematically found in inclusions and not in geodes.
